Quick Guide to Holiday Eating
Do NOT skip meals prior to events/parties.
Try to fill up on something high in protein beforehand.
Start with small portions. You can always go back and get seconds.
Prioritize protein and vegetable based dishes.
Fill plate with favorite foods. Don’t waste calories on the other stuff.
Limit alcohol.
If that’s a non-negotiable..try to stick with clean spirits (whiskey, gin, tequila, vodka) and low calorie mixers.
Eat slowly and let your belly digest.
Pretend like you’re going to go on a long walk after your meal. It might help keep you from overeating.
Bonus points if you actually get up and go on said walk.
